Others

A Computerised Tomography (CT) equipment for diagnosing a wide variety of diseases has been installed at the Trust Hospital in Accra.
The CT which can detect cases that are normally non-detectable withthe use of conventional x-ray is the third of its kind to be installed in the country. Some of the diseases the CT can detect are brain & bone injuries, tumours & stroke.
Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Moses Dani Baah said that currently the government is working out a pre-payment system that will enable patients to pay their medical bills with ease.He expressed the hope that with the installation of the CT equipment the practice of travelling outside the country for treatment of specialised cases which hitherto could not be done in the country would now be at a minimum.
